New year’s eve is over and I want to talk about a resolution I have, because the resolution is: talk more. I want to be more open more frequently, because the blogs I like to read are ones where the authors put in a lot of personal details. Even really mundane personal details are good, they’re especially good. I love tumblrs where it’s people talking about how they didn’t cook some eggs properly or they got a good deal on gas.
I just love these little parts of life that you can only get from real life or the internet. I got cable TV again recently, and it’s totally useless to me. Nothing on there feels real, and nothing on there is interesting.
A while ago I wrote (clumsily) about why the internet was so important to me. It’s because of how personal it can be, probably the most personal out of any sort of media or distribution methods available for strangers. But It’s a two-way process, and since my own blog is so dry it doesn’t give readers a lot of ways to get to know me.
I want to be approachable because I like meeting new people. Gotta talk at a party in order to have other people talk to you, y’know. Recap: I’m mid-20s, live in Victoria, gay, nerdish, and love the movie Broken Flowers. Anything else you want to know, go ahead and ask.
So I’m gonna be writing more often, and more freely. Hope you and future readers like it.
